Sarah Sevcech

Sarah practices Family Law, Criminal Defense, and Personal Injury, representing individuals and families during some of the most difficult and uncertain moments of their lives. Her practice includes DUI defense, divorce, child custody, legitimation, adoption, and the defense of misdemeanor and felony criminal cases.

Sarah’s approach is straightforward: listen carefully, prepare thoughtfully, and fight strategically. Every case and every client is different, and she believes legal representation should reflect that. Her experience both inside and outside the courtroom allows her to look beyond the immediate legal issue and truly understand what is at stake for her clients. Whether she is protecting a parent’s relationship with their child, defending someone who has been accused of a crime, or helping a family grow through adoption, her goal is the same: to provide practical guidance, strong advocacy, and representation her clients can trust.

Notable Case Results

  • DUI Defense — Not Guilty Verdict
    • Case: The driver was stopped for failure to maintain lane on the highway. The officer cited bloodshot, watery eyes and a strong odor of alcohol; the driver completed only one of three field sobriety tests and refused the state-administered breath test. The driver was arrested for DUI.
    • Outcome: Not guilty after a jury trial.
    • Court: Forsyth State Court
  • Contested Custody — Primary Custody Awarded
    • Case: A father was accused of physically abusing his child, and the mother obtained an ex parte emergency order suspending his visitation. His parenting time was reinstated at the temporary hearing after a showing that the bruising on the child was caused by sports the child was involved in.
    • Outcome: Through a detailed investigation and the use of experts, Sarah’s team outlined a pattern of alienating behavior by the mother. At the final hearing, the father was granted primary custody of the children.
    • Court: Pickens County Superior Court

Personal Life

Outside of the office, Sarah is a mom first and is happiest spending time with her children and their growing collection of animals — chickens, dogs, goats, and even a mini cow and a bunny. She loves being outdoors and finding any excuse to slow down and enjoy life at home when she’s not at work. North Georgia is home, and being part of this community is a big part of who she is.
